The Dangers of Sexual Sin

I consider myself to unfortunately have real experience in the realm of sexual sin. This is a very real and devastating reality to my former life. With that being said, I want to share with you the depths of how dark sexual sin really is.

Lust Is Not Innocent

Lust Destroys You: Provberbs 6:32 Says

New International Version
“But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.”

King James Bible
But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

Jesus compared lust to adultery in the heart.

Matthew 5: 27-30

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

Lust (or all sin)  puts a wall between you and God: Isaiah 59:1-2 says

Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save,

nor His ear too dull to hear.

2But your iniquities have built barriers

between you and your God,

and your sins have hidden His face from you,

so that He does not hear.

No one is immune to Lust

65% of young men and 18% of young women report use of porn at least once a week.

  • 40 Million US adults regularly visit porn sites.
  • 10% us adults admit to having a porn addiction
  • 20% men and 13% women admit to using porn at work
  • 70% of women admit to keeping their cyber activity a secret
  • 1 of 3 visitors of adult sites are women
  • The Median age of first viewing porn is 14. One study stated that it is age 11
  • I was first exposed at approximately age 8

In the US the average age of entry into Prostitution is 14 for males and 16-17 for females

  • 58% females report assault in the US
  • 20% estimated to have STD in the US
  • 40% are formerly child prostitutes in the US
  • World wide roughly 50% of prostitutes have HIV
  • 10% of men world wide have paid for prostitution. (That means hundreds of millions of men pay for prostitution)
  • It is estimated that a prostitute has unprotected sex 300 times per year. (World average)
  • 90% of NYC prostitutes had to give away at least one child to child protection

In Minneapolis Minnesota a study revealed 15% of prostitutes who prostituted for 6+ Months have an STD. That does not figure in HIV. Examinations in the study revealed an alarming incidence of positive pap tests. These women are at greater risk of cervical cancer.

This is just a small example of how porn, prostitution and sexual sin effects people physically.

Again as I stated earlier in Isaiah 59:1-2 Nothing is too far out of reach for God to redeam us. But if we are in unrepented sin His face is hidden from us and He will not hear us.

This brings us into the soul crushing reality about sexual immorality

God gave me a vision of what takes place in the spiritual realm when we commit sexual sin

I had a vision given to me by the Holy Spirit about a year and a half ago. In this vision I saw two people in an adulterous relationship. Interestingly in this vision I could see what was happening, but I could not see the intimate parts of it. yet I still knew what was happening. I believe this was to protect my eyes and my heart as the Lord knew it would not be fruitful for me to see.
Had this been an imagined vision or not of the Holy Spirit I do not believe my flesh would have protected my own eyes.

In this vision I saw the movement of two lovers having an affair and at the motion of their bodies I saw a demon from each of them moving along with their bodies as if they were interacting in the sexual act. My vision then shifted to a woman using some sort of mechanical thing to take the place of a man, I saw a spirit attaching itself to this device and again gaining pleasure during this act of sexual sin. My vision then shifted to myself as if I were in my bed performing self-pleasure. In this moment I saw a demonic spirit with its grubby hand entering mine as if it were yet again gaining its own pleasure off of my own sexual sin. Though at this time I had surrendered my sexuality to the Lord, I believe this was a warning of what it is like if I were to return to that lifestyle. My vision then shifted to the demonic involving themselves with homosexual acts. This is not an exhaustive description of all I saw but the reality is that this vision had given me insight into how our acts from the flesh and in sexual sin do involve the demonic.

Later that day the Holy Spirit led me to Proverbs 9:13- 18

Proverbs 9:13-18

13Folly is an unruly woman;

she is simple and knows nothing.

14She sits at the door of her house,

on a seat at the highest point of the city,

15calling out to those who pass by,

who go straight on their way,

16“Let all who are simple come to my house!”

To those who have no sense she says,

17“Stolen water is sweet;

food eaten in secret is delicious!”

18But little do they know that the dead are there,

that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.

In this bit of scripture, it is speaking of sexual acts, not just taking food and drink that does not belong to you. It is describing adultery. as it ends with “But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.” The Holy Spirit gave me the understanding that this was in reference to the demonic.

Lust will lead you to contact people you have no business talking to. For example, a married individual reaching out to talk to a past lover, or responding to someone on social media who is flirting with them even though they are married. Lust also takes down the single. Whether it be a single person viewing adult content or simply lusting after someone they see in their everyday life.

Unrepented sexual immorality always leads to death. Often times it leads to a physical death, but always it leads to a spiritual death.

Romans 6:19-23

19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[b] Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sexual sin typically comes after us when we are sitting idle. When we have nothing to do and we are alone or in the presence of bad company. In the event that we are idle, it is important to not remain idle in our relationship with the Lord. Rest is good, for as long as we rest in the Lord.

2 Samuel 11:1-2

In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.
One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,
and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.”
Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home.

One of the best things to do when sexual sin is creeping around the corner of your mind is to keep youself busy, busy pursuing the Lord. Not just busy doing any old thing.

1 corinthians 6:18 tells us “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”

We cannot fight sexual sin; we cannot even attempt to resist it. Scripture tells us to flee from it. All other sin and spiritual battles we are told to resist.

When we flee from sexual sin we must keep in mind the direction we flee. That direction must be towards God. Otherwise if we are looking to another vice we will never find saticfaction and will likely return to our wickedness in lust. (I can look back at my own life and see the fruits from both running to another vice vs to the Living God.)

God wants us to present ourselves to Him in pureness of heart. In the old testament when Aaron and his decendants would enter the holy place they had to wear undergarments.

In Exodus 28:42-43

42 “Make linen undergarments as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh. 43 Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they will not incur guilt and die.

“This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants.

When we walk into a place, we see those around us with their outer clothing on, this symbolizes our outward appearance. We never truly know what is going on under that layer of outward appearance. But God sees into our hearts and knows our thoughts. So, when we go to Him, we must go to Him in purity of heart. Unlike Aaron and hid sons, out outer clothing is not what represents our purity before the Lord. It is important to know that the Holy Spirit is the one who sanctifies us and purifies our hearts. This is one of the many reasons it is important to cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit.

To bring this to an end, I urge you to evaluate yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to empower you to remove yourself from even the option of sexual sin. I pray that the Spirit of the Living God overwhelms you with His presence. If you have questions, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to hearing form you.

***Keep in mind that i do not do direct messages with a woman I’m not married to. For any females who would like prayer and/or deliverance I am happy to lead you to another woman to walk you through that.***
